I believe wine is a conduit to good living. Wine connects us to our senses and to the rhythms of the natural world. It marks time. It goads us to travel and to know cultures around the globe intimately. Most of all, it inspires us to share. 

My work has appeared in Barron’s, Departures, PUNCH,  Wine Spectator, The Daily Beast, The Daily Sip, Epicurious and Fine Cooking, among other publications. I conceived and wrote A MicroGuide to Bordeaux for Bottlenotes and collaborated with the artist Robert Chaplin on A Hundred Summer Nights, a book-length essay chronicling the annual cycle of the vine in prose and images. Along the way, I earned a Master’s in Cultural Reporting and Criticism from NYU, a Diploma in Culinary Arts from Institute of Culinary Education, and an Advanced Certificate from the WSET. In 2010 I was awarded the Les Dames d'Escoffie Bon Appetit / Zack Hanle scholarship for my Diploma studies at the International Wine Center. I'm honored to have been shortlisted for the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers’ Awards in the Emerging Wine Writer category in 2011 and in the Pio Ceseare Food & Wine category in 2017.
